Fundamental Truth

Global Warming Activists are Anti-Capitalists who want the US to be a European Social Democracy

Democrats lie.  It’s the only way they can advance a liberal agenda the people don’t want.  In the Nineties they warned us about impending doom from manmade global warming.  They said their science told them that within a decade global temperatures would rise so much that the polar icecaps would melt.  And the rising oceans would flood our coastlines.  While the hotter temperatures would turn our fertile farmland into desert.  The left wasn’t saying this could happen.  They were saying it was going to happen.

Well, it didn’t.  Every dire prediction they made didn’t happen.  The polar icecaps are still there.  Our coastlines are still there.  Our farmlands are still fertile.  In fact, they’re so fertile that America has an obesity problem.  Because we’re eating too much food.  And we’re eating too much food because we are growing so much food thanks to those fertile farmlands.  Why, we’re growing so much food that we’re using a large portion of our corn crop to make ethanol to burn in our cars.

So either the global warming crowd was so very wrong.  Or they were lying the whole time.  Why would they lie?  Well, who exactly are the global warming activists?  They’re not Republicans.  They’re not conservatives.  They’re liberals.  And it just so happens that they want the same thing liberal democrats want.  An ever growing regulatory environment strangling our businesses.  For these people are, generally, anti-capitalists.  Who want the United States to become a European social democracy.  Where there is fairness.  Egalitarianism.  And no rich people.  Other than those in government.

The Climate Scientists were wrong about Manmade Global Warming and their Hurricane Predictions

Hurricane Katrina was the deadliest and costliest hurricane to hit the United States.  And the left said, “See?  Global warming.”  Not only that they said this was only the beginning.  And because of manmade global warming we could expect a lot more Hurricane Katrinas.  In fact, it was a sure thing.  Manmade global warming was going to fill the hurricane season with a lot more hurricanes.  And a lot of them would be Hurricane Katrina bad.  Or worse.  And you could take that to the bank.  Because their mathematical models proved this.

Well, it turned out these mathematical models were wrong.  Since Katrina we’ve had nothing but mild hurricane seasons.  Exactly the opposite of what the climate scientists said we would have.  In fact, it took 7 years before we experienced another storm nearly as destructive as Katrina.  Hurricane Sandy.  Or Superstorm Sandy.  As it wasn’t quite a hurricane.  Though it was destructive.  It wasn’t Hurricane Katrina destructive.  Like the climate scientists said most hurricanes would be like following Katrina.

So either the climate scientists were just very bad at science.  Or they’ve been lying.  Or both.  During the Seventies these same brilliant scientists were upset that the world’s governments wouldn’t heed their warnings and start storing food for the coming ice age.  For they said it was a sure thing.  And there was nothing we could do about it. Then another decade or so later these same climate scientists were warning us about global warming.  Which was then a sure thing.  As global cooling and ice ages was so yesterday’s climate.

The Left is Good at Lying because they keep the People Ignorant and Gullible

Today business is strangled by environmental regulations.  The government is waging war against inexpensive and reliable coal-fired power plants.  While spending our tax dollars on costly and unreliable renewable energy.  Australia has a carbon tax.  And Europe has an emissions trading scheme.  To charge power plants, businesses, airlines, etc., for the carbon they exhaust into the atmosphere.  Adding layers and layers of costs to everything we buy.  All because the climate scientists said we were causing global warming.  Warming the same planet they said was cooling a few decades earlier.

They were wrong.  As they are on most things.  In fact, they are some of the most ignorant smart people in the world.  The political left.  Who want to run our lives because they are so much smarter than we are.  Yet their track record shows that they are not smarter than us.  Or that they’re just very good liars.  Who can tell the same lie over and over again and people will believe it.  Like global warming.  Or their Keynesian economic policies.  Policies that have given us the Great Depression.  The stagflation of the Seventies.  Japan’s Lost Decade.  The dot-com bubble and recession.  The subprime mortgage crisis.  And, of course, the European sovereign debt crisis.

Yet the left is very good at winning elections.  And that’s because they are such good liars.  For all of their policies are politically driven.  They don’t care about manmade global warming.  They just want to control the economy.  So they can pick winners and losers.  And enrich themselves.  Which is why they will tell the same lie over and over again.  Because they are so good at lying.  And the people are so gullible.  Because they are so ignorant.  Thanks to our public schools.  Which are controlled by the left (the teacher unions aren’t filling Republican campaign coffers).  The problem with lying to advance your agenda, though, is that you can’t keep everyone ignorant forever.  Eventually people grow up.  They raise families and feel the direct result of the left’s costly policies.  They live through 2 decades where there was no warming.  They see few hurricanes despite predictions of record hurricane seasons.  That’s why the left works so hard for the youth vote.  Because they are just too young to have experienced these things.  Young and dumb.  The ideal Democrat voter.  Who vote for the party that says sex is okay.  And drugs aren’t that bad.  Unlike their parents.  Who are old enough to have experienced the left being so wrong for so long.

Superstorm Sandy Recovery Slower in Less Affluent Areas where People Feel Abandoned

Posted by PITHOCRATES - November 4th, 2012

Week in Review

After George W. Bush used his special secret powers to steer Hurricane Katrina into New Orleans and then blew up the levees protecting the city because he hated poor minorities (that’s what some on the Left believe), the media attacked him for the federal response.  Nothing was done fast enough.  Or good enough.  And the reason was because George W. Bush hasted poor minorities.  But many have placed a lot of blame on the mayor and governor.  For not following New Orleans’ evacuation plan.  Especially the mayor for waiting so long to give the evacuation order.  Probably few will ever be satisfied with placing the blame for the aftermath of Katrina.  For they could have done a lot of things better.

Katrina is past history.  A tragedy.  But a learning opportunity.  After that experience all levels of government should be able to operate as a finely oiled machine to bring quick relief to anyone suffering a Katrina-like event.  And now we’ve had one.  Hurricane Sandy (or Superstorm Sandy).  So how is the Sandy aftermath going?  Well, if you read some reports, you’d think you were reading about Katrina again (see ‘This is our Katrina’: Misery for 2.5 million STILL without power after six days as lawlessness and fear take over New York’s outer boroughs by Rachel Rickard Straus and Snejana Farberov posted 11/3/2012 on the Daily Mail).

Almost one week after superstorm Sandy struck the East Coast with its ferocious force, power was still out to some 2.5 million customers due to damages, down from 3.5 million on Friday, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery & Energy Reliability claimed.

The state with the largest number of outages by far is still New Jersey with 32 percent of customers without power, it said it a report.

And as the lights begin to flicker on in Lower Manhattan, nine percent of customers across the state of New York still do not have power, followed by seven percent in Connecticut.

This comes as residents of the Rockaways in Queens continued to struggle without power, heat or food for a sixth day as their neighborhood slowly descended into chaos.

‘It’s chaos; it’s pandemonium out here,’ said Chris Damon, who had been waiting for 3.5 hours at the site and had circled the block five times. “It seems like nobody has any answers.”

Added Damon: ‘I feel like a victim of Hurricane Katrina. I never thought it could happen here in New York, but it’s happened.’

With little police presence on the storm-ravaged streets, many residents of the peninsula have been forced to take their protection into their own hands, arming themselves with guns, baseball bats and even bows and arrows to ward off thugs seeking to loot their homes…

City Councilman James Sanders said he fears that things are going to get even worse.

‘We have an explosive mix here,’ he said. ‘People will take matters into their own hands.’

Sanders has directed much of his anger and frustration at LIPA, calling on the City Council to investigate the utility for ignoring the Rockaways for so long.

‘LIPA has failed the people of the Rockaways,’ he said. ‘It’s a question of class… serving the richer areas of Long Island and ignoring the Rockaways…’

Stranded neighbors largely have been relying on volunteers delivering food, water and other basic necessities while the Red Cross and FEMA were still nowhere in sight…

In a Coney Island apartment block, where tenants huddle together in one room and human waste spills out of the toilet, tenant Jeffery Francis despairs that help is not getting to Brooklyn faster.

We are scavenging for food like animals,’ he told the New York Daily News. ‘We are in a crisis and no one will help us. Look at us. We are misery. Everyone cares about Manhattan. No one is looking out for us. Nothing…’

While power is likely to be returned to Manhattan’s East and West Villages, Financial District, Chelsea, Chinatown and the Lower East Side by the weekend, according to the power company Con Edison outages in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island are not expected to be repaired for another week.

Across Staten Island residents are also increasingly frustrated they are being passed over while other parts of New York and New Jersey receive aid and attention…

For power companies, the scale of the destruction was unmatched – more widespread than any blizzard or ice storm and worse than the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

‘It’s unprecedented: fallen trees, debris, the roads, water, snow. It’s a little bit of everything,’ said Brian Wolff, senior vice president of the Edison Electric Institute, a group that lobbies for utilities.

Initially, about 60 million people were without power in 8.2 million homes and businesses.

By Wednesday night, that number had fallen to roughly 44 million people in 6 million households and businesses and today around 3.6 million are without power.

Manhattan and Long Island getting power before the less affluent areas hit by the storm?  That sounds like what the Left claimed the Bush administration was doing in New Orleans.  Now either President Obama hates poor minorities, too.  Or neither he nor George W. Bush hate poor minorities.  More likely the Democrat-friendly media reported every New Orleans failing because they hated George W. Bush.  While they will make no such claims in the Sandy aftermath because they love President Obama.

It would probably be better to have a Republican in the White House during the Sandy recovery.  Because the media would be relentless attacking the administration for every misstep.  While a lesser federal effort under a Democrat administration will get a more positive treatment in the media.  So there would be more urgency under a Republican administration to help people than there would be under a Democrat administration.  Especially poor people and minorities.  Who the Left says Republicans hate.  Especially when this is happening a week before an election.

Had Sandy happened with George W. Bush in office running for reelection they would have excoriated him for hitting the campaign trail.  For not expending every last effort in the recovery process.  It would have been just like Katrina.  But President Obama can hit the campaign trail.  For he walked New Jersey with Governor Christie.  And that was enough.  Of course the people in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, New Jersey and in the other areas struggling to recover from Sandy probably want more.  Especially when they see the lights coming on in Manhattan when they have no power, food or heat.  And have to defend themselves from roving mobs of looters.

There’s Big Money in Global Warming

Posted by PITHOCRATES - December 1st, 2010

The Atlantic Hurricane Season is a Bust.  Al Gore Moves to the Coast Despite Rising Sea Levels.

Since Hurricane Katrina, the doom and gloom environmentalists have been warning us that we ain’t seen nothing yet.  Each year they forecast a record hurricane season.  Because of global warming.  And how good have these climate forecasters been?  Not good (see US escapes major hurricanes for 5th straight year by Matt Sedensky, Associated Press, posted 11/29/2010 on myway).

The Atlantic hurricane season ends Tuesday, going down as one of the busiest on record but blissfully sparing the U.S. coastline a major hurricane for a fifth straight year.

What was that about the boy who cried wolf?  Didn’t he lie to bring attention to himself?  And that’s what the environmentalists are doing.  Lying to us.  For decades now.  To draw attention to themselves.  Their cause.  And to people with deep pockets who will give them lots of money.

Even Al Gore knows that global warming is all bull [deleted expletive].  He warned us that the seas are rising.  Coastlines were disappearing.  Only a fool would live on the coast because of global warming.  And where did Al Gore buy a house?  On the California coastline.  To see how good global warming has been to Al Gore, take a look at his seaside mansion (see PHOTOS: Al Gore’s New $8.875 Million Montecito Villa posted 5/17/2010 on the Huffington Post).

Record Cold Temperatures During Record Global Warming

Meanwhile, while America enjoyed another hurricane-free year and the sea levels have held steady for Al Gore’s seaside mansion, Sweden is experiencing record temperatures of their own.  But not the kind that would make Al Gore happy.  It’s fricking’ freezing over there (see Sweden braces for record freeze by TT/Peter Vinthagen Simpson posted 11/30/2010 on www.thelocal.se).

Stockholm is forecast to experience its coldest seasonal temperatures for over 100 years this week as winter weather takes hold of the country, according to the Swedish Meteorological Institute (SMHI).

Record hurricane activity that sees no hurricanes in the U.S.  Rising sea levels that aren’t rising.  Global warming that is setting record cold temperatures.  It doesn’t matter how many times they get it wrong, they’re still the experts at predicting the apocalypse.  If the only thing they’re good at is being wrong, why do they keep predicting doom and gloom?  Why don’t they just breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing that the earth will be okay?

Did I mention Al Gore bought an $8.875 Million Montecito Villa?

Global Warming is Just another Avenue to Attack Capitalism

Follow the money.  You want to find the truth, follow the money.  It’ll cut through all of the bull [deleted expletive] out there.  And global warming fear mongering has been all about the money.  Carbon ‘markets’ to enrich politically connected Wall Street companies making trades (and earning FAT commissions) in those carbon ‘markets’.  And a way to transfer money from the rich countries to the poor.  Pure socialism on a grand scale (see Bolivia assails rich, carbon market at Cancun talks by Robert Campbell posted 11/30/2010 on Reuters).

However Solon condemned proposals known as REDD+ that would set up a market-based system to pay poorer nations to protect tropical forests.

And if this ain’t socialism, I don’t know what is.  Oh, and here is the requisite attack on capitalism.

Bolivian President Evo Morales has fingered capitalism as the root of many of the problems facing the world and has urged his fellow leaders to explore alternatives, such as a declaration of rights for the earth as a means of tackling climate change

It’s about the money.  Always has been.  Always will be.  And when it’s about the money, the last thing on their mind is mother earth.
