Because Democrats have Sexualized Women they now need a Law banning Revenge Porn

Posted by PITHOCRATES - October 5th, 2013

Week in Review

According to Democrats the Republicans have a war on women.  They don’t want to give women free birth control.  They don’t want to give them abortions.  They don’t even want to give them the morning-after pill.  Republicans just don’t want women to have fun with their sexuality.  Because they hate women.  Unlike Democrats.  Who say high school kids are going to have sex no matter what we say.  So why not help them?  For these kids are responsible adults.  And make responsible decisions (see Calif. Bans Revenge Porn posted 10/2/2013 on The Daily Beast)

California Gov. Jerry Brown on Tuesday signed a bill that banned so-called “revenge porn,” making it a crime punishable by a $1,000 fine or six months in jail to post naked photos of your ex.

Of course if they were that responsible they wouldn’t need a law to protect them from themselves.

This is what happens when the Democrats sexualize women.  Making them nothing but talking vaginas.  In a vagina-centric world.  Giving them birth control, abortion and the morning-after pill so they can have all the sex the boys in their lives want to have.  Teaching them that being pretty and pleasing boys are the most important things in their lives.  So is it any surprise that they become personal porn models for their boyfriends?  Posing nude in provocative poses for them?  So they can share these photos with all of their friends?

Yeah, it’s the Republicans that have a war on women.

Another Electric Car bursts into Flames

Posted by PITHOCRATES - October 5th, 2013

Week in Review

One thing we learned from Breaking Bad was to respect the chemistry.  And that’s what batteries are.  Chemistry.  The kind of chemistry that’s a little on the dangerous side.  Unlike gasoline.  Which we can store relatively safely in tanks under our cars.  Where little chemistry goes on inside our gas tanks.  To use that gasoline to power our cars we have to do a couple of things.  We have to aerosolize it.  Combine it with oxygen.  Compress it.  Then ignite it.  Then and only then does it release its incredible energy.  Producing great heat in the engine.  But not the gas tank.  Which needs no cooling system.  It’s a little different in an electric car.

In a battery the chemistry is all local.  It produces electricity—and heat—where the chemicals are stored.  In the battery.  One of the problems with electric cars is their limited range.  And you fix this problem with bigger and more powerful batteries.  That can produce a lot of electricity—and heat—as they charge or power the car.  Making battery cooling a requirement for safe battery use.  To keep those chemicals under control.  But sometimes these chemical reactions go out of control.  Causing fires as cars re-charge in their garages.  Causing fires that grounded the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.  And this (see Hot Wheels! Tape of Tesla Fire Has Stock Tanking by Dan Berman, Hot Stock Minute, posted 10/3/2013 on Yahoo! Finance).

Tape of a Tesla (TSLA) on fire is giving new meaning to the term “hot wheels.” The video was shot on Tuesday after a Model S sedan went up in flames…

In an e-mail sent to The New York Times, Tesla spokeswoman Elizabeth Jarvis-Shean wrote that the fire was caused by the “direct impact of a large metallic object to one of the 16 modules within the Model S battery pack.” The e-mail went on to say, “Because each module within the battery pack is, by design, isolated by fire barriers to limit any potential damage, the fire in the battery pack was contained to a small section in the front of the vehicle.”

Contained to a small section?  It looks like the fire engulfed the whole car.  All because of some metal debris thrown up from the roadway.  Of course, a way to protect against something like this in the future is to add a metal shield that can take a direct hit without damage.  Adding a thick piece of metal under the car, though, adds weight.  Which, of course, reduces range.

This is a problem with electric cars.  Improving safety results in a reduction in range.  Because it adds weight.  It adds weight, too, with gasoline-powered cars.  But one full tank of gas can hold a lot more energy that all the batteries can on an electric car.  And when you run out of gas all you have to do is stop at a conveniently located gas station and fill up.  Which takes about 10 minutes or so.  Unlike a recharge of an electric car.  Which can take anywhere between a half hour (with a high-voltage fast charger) to overnight in the garage plugged into a standard outlet.  Which is why electric cars are more of a novelty.  Those who have them typically have other more reliable cars for their main driving needs.  For though gasoline-powered cars catch fire, too, when they’re not on fire you know you’re going to get home.

Is the NHS Computer System Crash in Scotland a Harbinger of what is to come with Obamacare?

Posted by PITHOCRATES - October 5th, 2013

Week in Review

One of the keys to making health care better under Obamacare is by digitizing our medical records.  To allow the swift sharing of our personal information with medical providers.  A one-stop-shop, if you will.  Where everything you would ever want to know about someone (income, Social Security number, home address, names of family members, embarrassing medical conditions, etc.) is but a click away.  All sitting nice and tidy in one massive database.

Hmmm, wait a tic.  Isn’t that kind of dangerous?  I mean, is there anything more frustrating when you can’t get your balance at the bank because the computer is down?  But that’s only a banking system.  I’m sure that would never happen with a national computer system for Obamacare that is guarding our most private and personal information (see NHS IT staff hopeful about fix for Glasgow health board area posted 10/3/2013 on BBC News Glascow & West Scotland).

Scotland’s largest health board has said its IT system is working again after a two-day crash saw hundreds of appointments and procedures cancelled.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said it still does not know what caused the problem which affected 11 hospitals.

The health board said no patient information had been lost and data gathered during the crash would be manually added to update the system…

Mr Calderwood said the “unprecedented” systems crash related to the health board’s computer network and the way staff connected to clinical and administrative systems.

“The situation is that as users log on they go through a system called Microsoft Active Directory, a router system which recognises users and allows individual access to our clinical and administrative support systems,” he explained.

“This was corrupted over the weekend which became apparent when staff logged on to the system on Tuesday after the holiday weekend.”

Although the problem has been resolved, NHS GGC still does not know what caused it.

“You know, Mrs. Smith, I’m not happy with the grade you gave me for my paper.  That could hurt my scholarship chances for college.  So let’s make a deal.  You fix my grade and I won’t tell anyone about your HPV and your vaginal warts that you contracted when you were in high school, you filthy whore.”

In this day and age do we really want to make it easier for people to steal our identities or extort us?  They said no patient information was lost but how much was copied?  Which is a rhetorical question as they could never know.  Something happened.  But they have no idea what.  But there is nothing to worry about they insist.   Just because kids can hack into some of the most secured computer networks in the world what are the chances that someone hacked into theirs to steal most private and personal information we have in our lives?

Obamacare did not get off to an impressive start.  With the whole system going offline for repairs within the first week.  It would be sad if we remember these as the good days of Obamacare.  Before hackers began stealing our most private and personal information.

Medicare Fraud is only a Prelude to Obamacare Fraud

Posted by PITHOCRATES - October 5th, 2013

Week in Review

It is remarkable how so many people believe the government can do things better.  That somehow fraud just doesn’t happen with government people involved.  This despite those hundred dollar toilet seats the government bought.  Which is a lot for a toilet seat if you’ve never bought one.  I mean, you can buy one for less than $10.  But because the government is so large and handles so much money they attract fraud like fresh dog poop attracts flies.  There are just too many people.  And too much money.  Making it too easy for someone to slip in a bill for hundred dollar toilet seats.  Which is why fraud is rampant in government programs.  Like Medicare (see ‘Death doctor’ accused of misdiagnosing cancer patients to scam millions out of Medicare a ‘serious risk’ to flee the country posted 10/2/2013 on Mail Online).

A Michigan oncologist charged with intentionally misdiagnosing patients with cancer as part of a major Medicare fraud operation will remain in prison until trial, with court officials scared he will flee to the Middle East.

It is alleged Fata received about $35 million from Medicare via his insurance scam over a two year period.

So what’s the difference between private health insurers and the federal government?  People hate the private insurers for refusing to pay for their medical bills.  To prevent fraud.  Someone concealing a pre-existing condition when buying health insurance is committing an act of fraud.  The whole idea of Obamacare is to prevent this kind of fraud.  By forcing everyone to buy health insurance.  Instead of living their lives without ever contributing to the insurance pool until the day they find out that they have a catastrophic health problem.  And then lie to an insurance company to conceal that catastrophic health problem.  So they can get the health insurance pool to pay for their medical care.  Even though they never contributed to that insurance pool when they were healthy.

This is why people hate private insurance companies.  For preventing fraud.  Which is why you don’t see fraud in the private health insurance companies on the scale you see in Medicare.  Because Medicare uses taxpayers’ money.  So the people in charge of Medicare don’t suffer a loss in any fraud.  Unlike the private health insurers.  So the private health insurers are more aggressive in preventing fraud.  While the federal government just raises taxes to pay for the fraud committed on their watch.  That’s the difference between private health insurers and the federal government.

And if you think the Medicare fraud was bad you ain’t seen anything yet.  Thanks to Obamacare.  With the federal government taking over one-sixth of the national economy we will see fraud like we’ve never seen before.  More money.  More people.  An organization so big the left hand won’t know what the right hand is doing.  Making Obamacare a fraud paradise.  Not to mention a gift for hackers and identity thieves.  Who can find out everything on everyone from one location.  Making that $35 million Medicare fraud seem like child’s play.

Don’t think so?  You’re willing to trust the harden defenses of the government’s computer system?  If so, ask yourself this.  How well did the rollout of Obamacare go this past week?  How well did those computer systems do in collecting the data upfront?  Not well.  And knowing how poorly the rollout was are you any more confident that once they have all of your personal information that their system will work any better?  Or do you think it will just make it easier for people like this doctor in Michigan?

Every bad thing that happened in Medicare will be worse in Obamacare.  Because Obamacare is bigger than Medicare.  And as this fraud takes a bigger bite out of the Obamacare cash-flow there will be less money for treating patients.  Meaning longer wait times.  And rationing.  As well as higher taxes to pay for the fraud.  So we will end up paying more for less under Obamacare.  Just like with Medicare.  Only worse.

Cory Monteith is another Victim in the Democrat’s War on the Young

Posted by PITHOCRATES - October 5th, 2013

Week in Review

Cory Monteith’s death is a warning.  Kids should listen to their parents more.  And to the Democrats less (see ‘Glee’ actor Corey Monteith died of heroin, alcohol mix by JEREMY HAINSWORTH, Associated Press, posted 10/2/2013 on The Kansas City Star).

The British Columbia Coroners Service said Wednesday investigators found a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle in the hotel room where “Glee” actor Cory Monteith was found dead in July.

The coroner’s final report issued Wednesday, confirmed initial findings that Monteith died from using intravenous heroin combined with alcohol…

The investigation said Monteith had a history of illicit drug use with intermittent periods of rehabilitation and of abstinence from drugs…

His death recalled the lives of Heath Ledger, Corey Haim and River Phoenix — actors who battled substance abuse and died in their 20s and 30s.

Monteith had talked bluntly about struggling with addiction since he was a teenager, calling it a serious problem and telling Parade magazine in 2011 he was “lucky to be alive.”

In that interview, he said he was using marijuana and drinking by age 13, and his drug use was “out of control” by the time he was 16. “Anything and everything, as much as possible,” he said. “I had a serious problem.”

People always like to make a comparison between marijuana and alcohol.  That marijuana is no worse than alcohol.  But there is only one drunk.  While there are many highs.  With the next high always promising to be better than the last high.  Something we call chasing the dragon.  That often ends in overdoses.  And death.  Like in Monteith’s case.

Notice the drug Monteith started with.  Marijuana.  Which is why marijuana isn’t like alcohol.  Because there aren’t new ways of getting drunk when an old way of getting drunk bores you.  Not so with drugs.  Where amateurs and novices start off with marijuana.  Until it bores them.  Then they start looking for new highs.  Better highs.  Until one day they start injecting drugs of dubious origin into their veins.

People don’t start by injecting drugs of dubious origin into their veins.  That’s an experienced drug user.  Who worked their way up to heroin.  After starting with marijuana.  The very drug states are now starting to decriminalize.  While the federal government looks the other way.  If marijuana is no longer illegal more people are likely to try it.  Get bored with it.  And move on to other drugs.  Just like Monteith, Heath Ledger, Corey Haim and River Phoenix did.  And countless children whose deaths didn’t make it into the news.  With countless others soon to follow.

The young like the Democrats.  Because they are not their parents.  Instead of saying ‘no’ to sex and drugs the Democrats give out free birth control.  Resulting in an explosion of sexually transmitted diseases.  Especially among young girls.  Who will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.  Even when trying to find someone to marry and start a family with.  Which an STD doesn’t make easy.  While other girls become mothers before they leave high school.  Setting back any career plans they may have had as they can’t raise their children and go off to college.  While others get abortions.  Which some regret as they grow older.  Not all.  But those who do can’t stop thinking about the life that didn’t happen because of what they did.  When they made a decision as a child their grownup self regrets.  So the Democrats really mess up young people’s lives.  And if that damage wasn’t enough they are now making it easier to become a drug addict.  By making the number one gateway drug no longer illegal.

Democrats will do anything to secure the youth vote.  Even if they destroy their lives in the process.  Which they often do.  In fact, they’re destroying their entire generation with the debt they’re going to leave them.  While at the same time impoverishing them with Obamacare.  Where the young and healthy will pay for the health care of the old and sick.  Leaving them with little now.  And even less to save for their own retirement.  Making the Democrats young people’s worst enemy.  Yet the Democrats have fooled them into believing that they are their best friend.  Just goes to show you what you can do if you have no conscious.  Which is easier to do when you get rid of God everywhere.  For if there is no God what do you have to worry about in this life when you believe there is no afterlife?  Talk about your freedoms.  Freedom from empathy.  Something that comes in handy for a ruling class interested only in power.
